Project created for the Virtual Environments class of the BA in Animation and Digital Art at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Prototype for a virtual reality game where the player must create potions by pouring ingredients inside a cauldron following the given recipe.
Developed in Unity by a team of 4 people in a period of 1 month.

Programming

In this project I was responsible for all the programming.
The systems implemented in the prototype are divided in 3 parts:

– A system to easily create ingredients and recipes by using scriptable objects. This information is later interpreted by the “props” of generic ingredients and by the cauldron to generate the adequate reactions.
– A “props” system to respawn any grabable object in their original position if it touches the ground.
– A system to pour liquid ingredients from bottles into the cauldron, and have it react in a positive way if the instructions were followed correctly.
